We stayed in a hotel after the loading day and then headed out to the farm early the next morning to get ready for unloading. The unloading took about 3/4 of that day, but we were able to sleep in our new home that evening - we were all excited to be on the farm! Our new home wasn't quite finished, but it's easier to live in a bit of a mess than constantly be cleaning. I was so thankful not to have the worry about keeping the Fargo home clean with four kids underfoot!

The little boys were so good during the packing and moving days. For the most part, a Fargo friend, Sarah, took the kids during these hectic days, but when they were home, a movie treat was in order. Zeke (above) with his sleeping bag and Graham (below) just hanging out one last time.
Our new home on the prairie - completely finished inside - well, except for those pesky pictures that I haven't been motivated to hang, yet. Sometimes creativity comes in surprising moments (like the day before you've invited a bunch of people over!).
Anyway, this has been one of the best decisions we've made. Moving has had it challenges at times, but the kids love it and so do Eric and I.
It's fun to look back, isn't it? Fun for the kids too! I love your new home, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the retrospect. What a difference a year makes. Beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteWow! It's been a year? I've been enjoying your recent posts on your cooking blog and on here! My commenting has been less than regular, but just wanted to let you know, you're being read! ;-) Thanks for the ideas on camping and keeping kids occupied! We'll be going out again this weekend, so I'm going to try several of your ideas!
ReplyDeleteHas it really been a year? We all really enjoyed having your kids over and their tennis time together. Just wish it wasn't cause you were moving....:) We are very happy that you guys love it and can't wait to visit!
