Dash's bike is in the repair shop; something is wrong with the gears. The tab will be $35 for the tune-up, which he will pay for. His dad offered to split the cost if it gets to $50 or higher.

On the way to VBS this morning, Dash talked out loud about how much he thought a repair might cost if he had to replace the chain ...

Zeke, feeling all brotherly, offered to help with the cost, "I'll give you some money to pay for it" ... and then in a lower voice added, "if you stop pestering me for a year."
