Birthday Fun

I’ll not be here today; there’s so much fun to be had when a person turns FORTY!  So thought I’d leave something fun for you.  After all, I can’t have all the fun on my birthday (which, I share with my brother Collin – he’s 35 today).

3rd, 4th & 5th Grade

The above are my 3rd, 4th and 5th grade school photos.  I was really, truly blonde!

7th Grade

7th Grade – yikes!

8th Grade

8th grade – not much better!  Guess I liked stripes and I’m sure everyone had about 5 ribbons to go with a shirt like the one I’m wearing.

9th Grade

Freshman year.  Nuff said.

10th Grade

Sophomore year – getting more used to the braces.

Now, it skips quite a bit because I couldn’t find my senior pics to scan.  I don’t look much different from my AGD picture taken in Fall 1989, though.

College - Fall 1989

Yep, I’m still quite blonde.  This isn’t high-lighted or anything – you can ask my room-mates!

College - Fall 1990

Yes, folks, this is my Sophomore year of college.  I volunteered for a hair style show (the owner begged me not to go near friends so it would be a shock!).  It was a shock to my girl friends and no one recognized me in class the next day, either!  Anyway, my hair never went back to blonde.   I’m okay with it and this color suites me.  Wish I still had that shirt … I really liked it.

Scan001

My wedding day on December 31, 1994.  I was a mere 24 years old and thrilled to be marrying this man, who’s hair is now peppered with gray strands.  I have the gray strands, too, just not as many.

Bison Fans 2004

Above: At a Bison Football game in 2004 (we are skipping through the decades, now!).

I promise I’ll post birthday photos later … later!

  3. Very pretty indeed. I love the curls in your senior year.

I was a towhead way back when. When I turned 14 it started to darken. I don't mind though...

  5. WOW! Farrah had nothing over on you! :)

I wonder if Big E's hair will turn your color as she gets older? You sure were a blondie. Great pics!

I absolutely love the wedding one. I think you look like Amy Grant did at that time!

Now, where were these pics at your party last night?? I would have LOVED to make a collage.
And then added a few of my own pics of you. You know which ones. :)

40th birthday blessings - Our Lord has richly blessed you with a beautiful family, Faith and friends.
    Love you!
