For Today: May 3, 2010 – Happy Month of Mary!
Looking out from my back porch... cloudy, but very green.
I am thinking about… all needing to be accomplished this month: finish up formal homeschooling, work on 4-H static & animal projects, building a new hen/brooder house, planting the garden, finish up Spring planting, prep the house for a homeschool field trip, last EC meeting of the college school year, FMCHE year end meeting (need to prepare the budget)…
I am thankful for... good friends who are willing to listen.
I am reading…through my stack of magazines, slowly.
I am hoping... for a break in the rain so Spring planting can be finished up ‘on time.’
I am hearing... lip-smacking from the snacking kids around me at the table.
I am wearing… jeans, floral t-shirt, white socks,
From the sewing/craft room (aka. laundry room!)… Dash and I stopped at a fabric/quilting store last week. We purchased fabric for Dash’s 4-H pillowcase project and also found the inspiration for a cute 4-H childcare project for Angelina! I’ll post pics later.
From the school room... inching closer to the close of formal schooling. Some subjects are already completed for the year, making for very happy children!
From the kitchen... tried out a new breakfast recipe … Harvest Apple Bake. It was yummy!
State of the house… it’s a little dusty. Is it possible to keep up at this time of year?? Then, there are the piles…
A successful moment… Eric & I finished up teaching another NFP series (it ended Sunday afternoon).
A few plans for the rest of the week…
Monday: Dance for Angelina.
Tuesday: My sister’s birthday – Happy Birthday, Jules!
Thursday: CAT test for Angelina & last EC meeting of the college year for me
Friday/Saturday/Sunday: My MIL and I plan to visit Sheyenne Gardens if the weather is nice, planting in the veggie & flower gardens, family friends for dinner & a visit on Mother’s Day
A picture memory...
Plant starts … just waiting for the weather to improve
Graham was having fun until his airplane got stick … still haven’t taken it down. He hasn’t asked for it, either.
Hey, I like the blog look!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the work you do to teach NFP!
