We are now proud owners of a black suburban.
We needed a vehicle that was bigger and one that could get through our winter roads without worry (within reason, of course!). It rides smoothly - better than the van - and the seats are comfortable. I am having a hard time giving up the ability to move between front and second seats ... I haven't resorted to crawling into the second seat ... yet.
The hardest part about a new vehicle, it seems, is figuring out the best seating arrangement for kids. Who sits best by whom and who needs to sit in the 'way' back because they'll kick your seat! We are still working out the arrangements, even though it's been almost two weeks since we started driving the suburban. The only certainties are that Graham is in the far back behind the driver and Baby Louis' infant seat base is in the center of the second (middle) row.
Congrats!!! Doesn't it feel great to drive??!! I miss our suburban SO much. What a treat it will be when we get back. I'll post a pic of our "eurocar" on my blog.
ReplyDeleteWe are soon going to be in need of a vehicle, our van is on it's last winter I think. I'd like a sub, Tom wants some kind of van where the seats turn around completely and a table comes up? Haven't seen it, can't remember the name even.
ReplyDeleteIs there more room in the back for groceries?
We have one because of all the kiddos and we go camping a lot and need to pull a pop-up camper.
ReplyDeleteI love the black!
ENJOY!
Yes, there is more room in the back for groceries. However, you give up all the wonderful, under seat storage that vans offer. Like I said ... I'm still getting used to the differences!
ReplyDeleteI've seen the vehicle with the table, but don't remember how many passengers it carries. We'd fit in the van, but traveling is a bear! With our van, we had a carrier on the luggage rack and a hitch carrier, too. The suburban will be much easier for travel.
Best of luck with this great purchase, Suzie.
ReplyDeleteGosh, does the seating reassignments ever end? There chnage here to all the time. :)
