It’s hard to find the time to do much of anything but nurse a baby, change a baby, homeschool the older kids, cook a meal, and remember to shower!
Marcus, for whom I haven’t determined a ‘blog name’, is growing out of his newborn sized clothing. I’d say another week and they’ll be too tight lengthwise for the little guy. Good thing the grandmas saw fit to buy both newborn and 0-3 mos. clothes. Part of me doesn’t want to put away the newborn sizes. Same thing I went through with Louis…this might be my last baby, and I want to cherish/savor each moment. Sure makes me into a procrastinator.
Grandma & Grandpa Golden Acres with Marcus. They came Friday before Labor Day Weekend to watch Dash’s football game on Friday night, then stayed over to spend a bit of time visiting. Saturday was the Bison Football home opener.
I made a huge batch of Beef Carbonnade last week (just do a google search for Beef Carbonnade and Cooking Light) the intent to freeze at least two family sized portions. I’ll have enough for that plus another ‘leftover’ meal tomorrow.
To add to our craziness, we decided to let Zeke play in Wolfpack football. He’s thoroughly enjoying himself. Who would’ve thought our little cuddler would enjoy tackling? I haven’t seen him play in a game, yet, but did watch him during practice on Tuesday evening. I will put in a picture of Zeke in his uniform…if I ever get the pics downloaded off my camera!
Dash started his football season in early August. However, he hasn’t had the playing opportunities that last year afforded. The games have been much closer this year, meaning the younger players don’t get subbed into the game at all.
Graham, Louis, and Angelina enjoy going to the Loboe home football games with dad. Marcus and I have stayed home thus far. He’s just to little to stay outside that long and to be completely frank, I’m just not up for it, yet!
Homeschooling has its ups and downs. This week, we added a few more subjects for the younger three. We’ll add a few more later this month and I’m holding off on a few of Zeke’s until Spring.
The house is messy, which makes me unsettled. At least I’ve been keeping up in the kitchen – unless you count the beans that aren’t froze, the lug of peaches and lug of pears in the basement frig, and the two cantaloupe and one watermelon that threaten to go to waste (I keep telling myself that if they’re composted it still benefits our health).
