Dash attended Driver’s Education classes last week. He’s finished up with the classroom portion and began the driving portion on Wednesday – 4 days of driving with the instructor and a partner from class. Eric took him in for his written test on Tuesday to get his permit. He passed.
While I am certainly looking forward to having help getting everyone to their activities in the future, I do feel a small twinge of sadness that this milestone is here. My little boy (really not so little anymore, but not quite past me in height yet) is truly growing up. It’s one more step toward independence for him. And, one more step toward trusting that he’ll make prudent decisions and letting go for me.
