Announcing the arrival of Leo Henry Lahlum!
He was born November 5th at 4:26a. Leo weighed in at 11 pounds 2.2 ounces (yea, no kidding there...) and measured 22 inches long. He's a content baby and a good eater. Just feels incredibly good to be on this side of the pregnancy. I may or may not write more about the labor and birth, we'll just have to see what my mood brings.
We came home Saturday morning ... I think it took the older kids until this afternoon to calm down. My mom, Grandma Golden Acres, drove out to the farm Friday night to take over care of the kids from Grandma Green Acres. I'm thankful she'll be here for a while.
Congratulations, Suzie!! What a BIG boy! I thought I had big babies at over 9 pounds, but you've definitely beat me =) I hope everything went well. It sounds like it did. And you're already home! Yay!! Take care of yourself, and God bless you, Leo and your entire family!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have a little award for you over on my blog. But do not worry about even checking it out. I just wanted to tell you =)
I was so surprised to read this! Pregnancy always goes fast when someone else is the one pregnant!... (I'm sure it didn't feel fast to you). Congratulations! He's beautiful. Hope it's all going well at home - I'll be praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness!!! I was SO surprised to come here and see him, he's soooo beautiful!!! I want to kiss those chubby cheeks!! I think he's bigger than Bridget, or around the same size now!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling good? Oh, he's so beautiful!!!1
A Baby Blessing... a healthy baby and a beautiful boy. Congrats to you and your family. Like Jamie I was surprised to come here and find a newborn!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you!
i am so ashamed of myself suzie. i should've come here sooner. michelle is right. the days pass far too quickly. it seems like just the other day i was writing to you about the baby and here he is. he is so darling. squishy. soft. perfect. velvety hair and skin. there is nothing like a newborn. i can almost smell his sweet scent. i am so glad you are all well. enjoy your babymoon.
ReplyDeleteand what a great name he has! so different. i prefer different names. and it is so funny that just the other day sophia and i were talking about the name henry-as if i need another boy-but God knows i'll do His will in a heartbeat-but i've always liked the name henry. and it has nothing to do with this cute boy from school a long, long time ago. it was also one of my grandfather's brothers' names.
sorry for being so long winded. i am going to finish catching up here. you look so pretty with your blue eyes in that new post...
God bless you suzie.
hugs.
