This blog is a record of our daily life ... the joys and struggles of raising our little flock to love life and the author of life, our Lord. There are many similarities between Christ's followers and a flock of sheep, thus the name of this blog. I'm trying to 'shepherd' my little flock to know and love Christ - this is my vocation.
I already shredded and froze all the zucchini in 2cup packs. That's what most recipes need.
The peppers, cukes and beans are easy to use up in our family. But, I do freeze beans and peppers when they are too bountiful.
I'll probably use cabbage for cole slaw .... or it's amazing when boiled in milk & butter then salted & peppered!! My grandma Eva made that during my childhood - I always snitched a bit from the pan.
I finally can get onto your blog! Yay! I had to go and read back from August 6th to catch up. Cinderella looked great - I bet she really enjoyed it! And, can't believe that Dash is in Football. Is he liking it? Your garden's are producing wonderfully and I expect lots of fresh veggies when we come visit :) And chickens? You guys are really getting into farm life! Now, is it just me, but have you sewn more in these past few months than all these years put together?? It's that nesting instinct! :) Great to see you this past weekend. Hope the birthday boy had a great bday - tell him it's a good thing that I didn't have time to find the black balloons, etc..:)
What are you going to do with all that?
ReplyDeleteYum Yum...the bounty is plenty. Happy eating.
