Craft Basket Wednesday

Craft Basket Wednesday Stations of the Cross: Part I

This Stations of the Cross kit from Illuminated Ink is a craft I have wanted to complete since I first saw it … and we are finally getting it done … just in time for Lent 2010!  The kids and I made it about half-way through the kit today; we hope to finish up tomorrow after the grottos are completely dried.  Zeke and Graham have done the bulk of the work up until this point (with me distributing glue where needed).  Dash and Angelina helped towards the end of the popsicle stick gluing.  Baby Louis was entertained by all the commotion throughout the project!

  2. Wow, Suzie - this is AWESOME! What a wonderful prayer tool for your whole family. I loved that Baby was sitting on the table "helping" too. ;-) I'll definitely have to check out Illuminated Ink - you've mentioned the company several times, and the products look great - beautiful AND kid friendly. Any particular recommendations, or just across the board wonderful?

  3. I especially like the grottos, but have also enjoyed the stickers, saint bingo, and prayer bouquet cards. We've also made the advent candles and the easter candle, but they aren't as easy for kids and need more adult help.

  4. Dear Suzie,
These look great and it looks like you all had a great time doing them.
I LOVE the baby in the middle of the table photo.
    God Bless

  5. i love baby on the table too!
    that is GREAT!
and those little grottos are really neat.
i've always wanted all the stations framed and up the staircase so that we could say them and move up a step each time. but with so many of us that really isn't feasable.
those are nice because they are small and the kids get to "do their part" in putting them together.
