Movie Review - St. Rita

We recently joined Netflix and have been enjoying the ease of use and selection available. This past week, Saint Rita arrived. I suppose I chose it mainly because it is Lent and I wanted something a little more spiritual, but it was also a movie I thought the whole family could watch.

The whole family started watching, but Zeke fell asleep halfway through (as is the norm for him) and Graham played with action figures the whole time (I really didn't expect him to pay attention!). Dash, Angelina, hubby and I watched until the very end.

This is a great movie and it has everything a viewer might want ... sword fights and death, romance and marriage, children, poverty and wealth, war and eventual peace, respect for the Catholic faith, and English dubbing (thank goodness). It is long, however! It's over 3 hours, but it is set up in 2 parts if you want to split your viewing. We chose to watch the entire movie last night.

  1. Thanks for the suggestion, Suzie. I will have to put it in our queue, although we do blockbuster.com, so we can swap 2/month free at the store ... We like movies around here, especially in the winter, which isn't ending anytime soon =/

  2. Hey Suzie!
Thanks for the review! We're always looking for good movies & we have Netflix too. Have you thought of Faith&Family flix? Our Netflix membership lasts another year I think so we probably won't change for a while...

  3. I looked at the Faith & Family flix, too, and talked to Eric about it. Eric signed up for Netflix on a whim - he got an introductory offer. We really have enjoyed the selection, so far, at Netflix. Now that they have a drop point in Fargo, it doesn't take long at all for movies to be at our door.
