Angelina & Zeke made this cute pumpkin family. They've been busy and all the mess stayed in the garage!
This blog is a record of our daily life ... the joys and struggles of raising our little flock to love life and the author of life, our Lord. There are many similarities between Christ's followers and a flock of sheep, thus the name of this blog. I'm trying to 'shepherd' my little flock to know and love Christ - this is my vocation.

Cool Crafts & Happy Toddler
I ordered the crafts boxes from Shirley's Pre-packaged Crafts this year for Louis. They are a huge hit! I asked Angelina to do them with him and she agreed without complaint. Louis has had a blast.
For someone like me, who takes way too much time to think and plan, this is perfect. It's keeps the toddler engaged and makes him feel special. And, I don't have to think of projects in this busy year which includes homeschooling four and adjusting to a new baby.
The kits arrive shortly before the beginning of each month and includes a calendar of the month, as well as specific instructions for completion and explanation of each project. Many of the projects relate to a holiday or celebration. While not specifically Catholic, it is Christian.

Two Months
The little guy is two months old, and I'm having a dicken's of a time getting on my blog to keep it up to date. At some point there will be a slew of posts added!
However, we're sooo enjoying Marcus, for whom I haven't thought of a clever blog name, and have no regrets. He started smiling a lot and making little cooing noises within the last two weeks. With a smaller baby, I've paid attention to how he's growing; it's so different from the last four, but probably similar to my first. Anyway, his legs are starting to 'chub' up and get strong. He likes a pacifier, which is a first among the kids...I am thankful in a way. Marcus is content, doesn't cry often, and is just plain fun to watch. He still likes to get up early, but then I get quiet time to read.

October Recap in Pics #2
Louis’ craft day fell on Leif Erickson Day. Since we are of Norwegian descent, it was an excellent craft!
The boys did not want to go up to bed. They insisted they were not tired and wanted to wait for dad to arrive home. Well, they were tired and dad carried them up to bed.
This fire was south of our farm. I understand the good in burning off sloughs, but this looked big and fast moving. I was thankful for the rain throughout the night to make it ‘good and OUT’.
Marcus, my favorite photo opportunity.

October Recap in Pics #1
Bison Homecoming! Louis and Marcus are ready to go – bright and early. We left at 8am to arrive in Fargo in time for the parade at 10am. I guess you could call us crazy Bison fans.
Louis was able to ride in the combine for corn harvest. I didn’t want to risk letting him go along for soybean; he had quite the reaction to soybeans last year.
The landscaping is finished up. The crew did an excellent job and we are pleased that it’s done and looks so nice. I hope the plants survive the winter to flourish next spring.
